Tennis brand K-Swiss has designated industry veteran Sean O’Shea as creative director with immediate effect. Based at the brand’s headquarters in Westlake, California, he will supervise the full product design process globally and report to Barney Waters, K-Swiss president.
O’Shea is expected to bring in new impulses from the running and training segments, for which he was head of design at former employer Puma. “Everyone knows K-Swiss’ strength in heritage court style, and now Sean will lead us into the next phase of our brand development, through modernization and innovation, capturing the sophisticated athletic styling of our young entrepreneurial consumer,” said Waters in regard of the announcement.
Along his twenty-year experience in footwear design, he has worked for big players like Adidas, Nike and Converse in several senior design roles.
