The Supervisory Board of Marc O'Polo AG has appointed Maximilian Böck to the management board as of June 1, 2020. Maximilian Böck is the son of Marc O'Polo owner Werner Böck.
As CRO (Chief Retail Officer), he will be responsible for all business-to-consumer channels including the online business. In addition, he will assume strategic co-responsibility as Co-CEO, together with CEO Dieter Holzer, and familiarize himself with the role of CEO over the next 12 months.
Dieter Holzer, CEO of Marc O'Polo AG, will hand over his CEO role to Maximilian Böck on June 1, 2021 and join the Supervisory Board of Marc O'Polo AG.
Werner Böck, majority shareholder, said: "With Maximilian, we have a personality who can ensure the long-term and currently successful development of the company in the interests of the family in the future as well. We will leave the Corona crisis behind us and look to the future with courage and confidence. We are pleased that Dieter Holzer will continue to accompany us as a member of the supervisory board in the future.”
Following his Master's degree in business administration and periods spent abroad, including at KPMG in New York, Maximilian Böck began his professional career in purchasing at Peek & Cloppenburg KG before moving to the purchasing department at Marc O'Polo Einzelhandels GmbH in 2017. As director of retail, he managed the stationary retail of the premium modern casual brand for the last two years.
