Calvin Klein announced that Luella Bartley has joined the company as head of global design for Calvin Klein Jeans. In this role, Bartley will oversee the design of all Calvin Klein Jeans product globally to realize one cohesive vision for the brand.

Bartley comes to Calvin Klein most recently as co-founder and co-designer of women’s line Hillier Bartley, after serving as head of women’s ready-to-wear design at Marc by Marc Jacobs and owning her namesake line, Luella, for over ten years.

She received the prestigious “Designer of the Year” award in 2008 by the British Fashion Council as well as an MBE from the Queen of England in 2010. She is also known for her collaborations with brands such as Mulberry and Target.

Bartley will report directly to Pieter Mulier, Creative Director of Calvin Klein, Inc. and Franck Belochi, President, Calvin Klein Jeans Europe.
