Canadian outerwear brand Canada Goose has announced that Maureen Chiquet has been nominated for election to its Board of Directors as an independent director. The election is scheduled to take place at Canada Goose’s annual general meeting on August 15, 2017 in Toronto.

With more than 30 years of retail industry experience, Chiquet is expected to provide strong product, marketing and business operations expertise to the board. Most recently, Chiquet was Chanel’s first Global CEO, where she oversaw the business and brand’s worldwide expansion for nearly a decade. She previously served as COO and President of US Operations at Chanel. She has also worked at Gap Inc., Old Navy and L’Oréal Paris where Chiquet started her career in marketing.
