Andrea Rosso, creative director of all Diesel licensed products, is working at an own new apparel collection – Myar. The new project launched in Milan in January 2015, conjugates military dress codes, streetwear and sportswear inspiration and will exclusively be available at influential fashion spots in the coming year, letting the brand develop organically. The selection is expected to offers about 20 items four times a year, mostly trousers and a few t-shirts aimed at men.
“Myar is born out of an obsessive observation with what people are wearing on the street and the manner in which it all connects back to army clothing,” explained Rosso. “Army life is about belonging to a group with a unique set of values and commands. This new project, whose name is the anagram of 'army' and includes my initials, and brings together different individuals from all walks of life under one common passion for vintage army gear, to the point that it becomes a dress code.” And continues: “Within the military dress code every single garment is an individual story of function, design, color, pattern, material and fabric composition. For this Myar is the modern interpretation of army styling on the street.”
