Adidas has two new faces: executive positions Head Global Sports Marketing & Sports Relations and Managing Director Adidas Group Central Europe. After the death of Michael Riehl, Günter Weigl (48) will be his successor as Senior Vice President Global Sports Marketing & Sports Relations. Weigl will report to Erich Stamminger, Board Member of Adidas Group. Weigl has worked for the company since 1992.
Günter Weigl is presently Managing Director Adidas Group Central Europe. Winand Krawinkel (49) will take over this position. Krawinkel is presently Director Adidas Group South Africa and has worked for Adidas since 2006. He will report to Roland Auschel, Adidas Group Chief Sales Officer Multi-channel Markets.
Both replacements will be effective 1 July 2013.
