Martin Gaffal is the new country manager for Germany at Peak Performance and succeeds Andreas Scheibe, who left the company at the end of September to face new professional challenges. Gaffal, 34, began his career with the AMER Group and held various positions in sales and marketing. Most recently he was the key account manager for the German market at the sportswear manufacturer Schöffel.
Here, he shares his private side.
What do you want to change at your new position?
Focus on customers, drive the business and elevate the team spirit.

Honestly, I’m pretty happy how things are going....
Where do you prefer to buy–apart from the brand?
Munich City Center.
How would you describe your clothing style?
Something between sportswear and classic–I’m no fashion victim.
Quite spontaneously: What is the favorite item of clothing that you own?
I’m not kidding: a Peak Performance hoodie I bought some years ago. A must-have for me for hanging out, travelling or when having an active lifestyle!
What was your first pair of jeans?
I guess a Levi’s 501 in the ’90s.
What don't you like about the fashion industry?
Many items are not build to last and people wear them once or twice and throw them away.
