In recent years technology has taken a new and continually extending part in our generation’s lives.
That is why the Berlin creatives around brand founder Martin Fussenegger (who is also the long-term product designer behind the established Ucon bags label) started working on a new series of backpacks under the Visvo label two years ago. Now Visvo's "Novel" line of intelligent and minimalistic backpacks for every day is up for crowdfunding on Kickstarter.

A specially-developed power bank, made of long-lasting aluminum-alloy and containing three output ports, can charge phones within 30 minutes and guarantees over 500 recharge cycles.

Integrated LED bike lights welded into the shoulder straps and a red backlight at the bottom of the backpack ensures a safe journey. Three different light modes are adjustable. Inside the backpack, further LED strips that switch off automatically after three minutes help finding and organizing all possessions.

The waterproof and stain-resistant backpack body provides numerous storage compartments lined with protective neoprene fabric. There are exterior storage pockets offering quick access to the most important items, and a waterproof roll top hood that can be closed by a metal buckle.

Visvo has designed three different Novel backpacks: Novel 1.0, the basic version with an additional top zip pocket, weighing only 1.9 kg; Novel 2.0 with added features like an inner mesh pocket, and leather handles (weight: 2.3 kg) and Novel 3.0, the extended version, containing a safe pocket which blocks electromagnetic signals and therewith prevents passport and credit card information from being stolen (weight 2.5 kg). In addition a GPS tracking unit and inductive QI charging is available.

GPS tracking, a key wallet, a compression bag as well as a phone chest pocket can be added to each version of the Novel line.

The Novel collection by Visvo is launched with the support of the Kickstarter community. To bring the project to life, it can be supported with an amount of choice until January 12, 2018.
